The Caribbean’s most fascinating country: a heady mix of faded Spanish colonial cities, sputtering Fifties Cadillacs, wonderful live music, world-class cigars and an arcane communist system. With so much to enjoy in Cuba, you may regret holing up in an all-inclusive hotel for your whole trip.
Imagine driving through superb tropical landscapes, in the company of vehicles that are relics from half-a-century ago, between glorious colonial towns and dazzling beaches. Add in roads that are lightly travelled, and an amazing diversity within a nation the size of England, and the only possible answer is Cuba
Cuba is unlike any other place on earth. What draws people to this fascinating Caribbean island is much more than beaches, sun, and cheap drinks. Cuba’s rich culture, unique political history, and continued survival through through ongoing economic hardship make it one of the most eye-opening countries that experienced travellers can still discover.
Cuba, the largest island in the Caribbean, is nearly as big as England. If your time is restricted you should decide which end of the island your would prefer to see in detail. If you have got all the time in the world, then start at one end and work your way to the other.
Cuba’s attractions and charms run from the hustle and bustle of Havana, to the colonial grandeur of Trinidad (…) and the sparkling waters and white sands of a half-dozen or more top-notch beach destinations. So, you will need to plan well to make the most out of any trip there.
I thought that I would drop you a line to thank you and the team at Captivating Cuba for organising our trip to Cuba.
We had a great time in both Havana and Guardalavaca and the transfers were seamless. The Casa Vitrales in Havana was brilliant. The accomodation was clean and the staff ultra friendly (genuinely) and helpful. The Paladars that were booked for us were excellent and the quality of food far exceeded our expectation. We were treated to a slice of real life Habana.
The total contrast of Rio Do Ora was most welcome with good accomodation, amazing staff and an amazing beach. What a place to chill!
Thanks once again.
See you soon.
We had a fantastic trip. All of the transfers went smoothly, each pick was on time, friendly and professional. We enjoyed all of the planned restaurants and excursions. We actually managed to pack in a few extra excursions too. So the all inclusive towards the end of our trip was much needed, to relax. We both feel like we have learnt much more about Cuba, the history and culture.
Thank you for your help and making the trip very smooth for us.
Thank you for seeing to it that every detail was thought through. We absolutely love Anay and Enrique (and our driver Enzo) and greatly appreciate their introduction to both the touristic Cuba and the “real” Cuba. The May Day parade was quite something — so happy we were there for that. The Casas were gorgeous and Hotel Moka was a very special experience. Though it may be awhile before I drink another Cuba Libre or Mojito, I truly enjoyed every moment.
I highly recommend Cuba and your services to anyone interested in making the trip.
