The week here was lovely and relaxing but didn't reflect the Cuba we had seen [on the Pearl of Caribean tour]. The weather was variable but we only had one day that wasn't beach weather. The beach was fantastic and walks along the waterside were very interesting with locals catching fish with nets from the beach amongst things to see. The food was fine, the bread being delicious, and the drinks plentiful and well prepared. A five star hotel might have been more exclusive but the beach couldn't have been better. This hotel has the most available space, beds and shade. The beach bar is right on the beach and a friendly atmosphere pervades as you talk to people instead of relying on waiter service. The room was comfortable with maid service that excelled in towel sculpture. J.M. in November 2009
