Cuba, by definition, is all about fun. It is enshrined in their people’s culture and, as Cubans would argue, the key to their survival through difficult times and a very complex history.
Cubans are essentially a happy, carefree, friendly people. And their “natural” inclination towards music, dancing, and the arts only strengthen their reputation as cultural prodigies in the Caribbean and beyond.
So the question is not whether you’ll have fun or not. It is about what exactly would you like to do to make your experience not just fun, but memorable too.

For fun-seekers like yourself, Havana is a must. Lively night scene, lots of bars, an emerging dining scene run by private businesses, streets full of music, and some of the friendliest people on the planet.
We’ve picked your accommodation based on quality and location. All of our suggestions are located at the heart of Old Havana, within walking distance from most attractions. The Iberostar Parque Central is the best hotel in its class in Havana. For a more characterful hotel, the Sevilla is a great choice. And for a more authentic experience, we’ve also included a fantastic Casa Particular among our recommendations (you can read more about each of our accommodation suggestions down this page)
Some of the best bars and restaurants in the city are also located in the old quarters. Our team in Havana will assist you in choosing the best ones, even book a table on your behalf.
Many of the world’s best known cocktails were first mixed in Havana: the iconic Mojito, the classic Daiquiri, the timeless Cuba Libre. If you can spare the time, why not take a lesson in making these Cuban cocktails?
If Cuban music and dance are of interest, we’ve suggest a dinner experience listening to the Buena Vista Social Club, maybe even a salsa lesson with one of our experienced salsa teachers.
Another activity we think you will enjoy is a tour of the city onboard a vintage American car. Fun and entertaining and, for many, the highlight of their stay in the Cuban capital.

Restaurant Bookings, on request.
The most diverse destination in Cuba: history, city, beach, and beautiful natural scenery.
After enjoying Havana and before heading to our recommended beach hotels , take the chance to visit Trinidad, a colonial town to the south of Varadero where all the best Cuba has to offer converge in one place: fantastic Caribbean beach, beautiful scenery, a UNESCO heritage colonial town rich in history and folklore, and a lively restaurant and bar scene.
To make your stay all the more interesting and authentic, we recommend you stay in a Casa Particular (a charming bed and breakfast, privately run by a Cuban family).
There’s plenty to do in Trinidad. Music fills the intricate cobbled streets of this lovely town, and street markets spring every morning near the church square. Head to La Canchanchara and learn the story of this little known Cuban cocktail Cuban fighters against the Spanish colonial rule invented to keep warm during the rainy nights in the Cuban rainforest. Ancon beach is less than a half hour away from the town centre, and offers great spots for diving or scuba diving. If feeling adventurous, take a boat trip to Cayo Blanco del Sur, a nearby island inhabited only by iguanas and colourful fish. Whilst there, enjoy an authentic Cuban meal and some more scuba diving before returning to town. In the evening, a visit to Casa de la Music in Trinidad is highly recommended. See the locals play classic and contemporary Cuban salsa and marvel at the skills everyone seem to have when it comes to dancing salsa.
After a couple of days in Trinidad, it is time to head to world famous beach resort Varadero.
Casa Real 54
Varadero offers the ultimate spa and resort experience. The beach line is so long it never feels crowded, and most hotels have direct access to the beach. After all the fun in Havana and Trinidad, it is time perhaps to pamper yourself, unwind, and indulge in the simple pleasure of sipping a Mojito by the beach or spending time at the resort spa.
To get away from it all, recharge, and treat yourself to complete relaxation, there’s no place quite like this.
It doesn’t mean, however, that the fun should stop. We’ve selected for you not only the best resorts, but also the hotels with the best entertainment packages. We highly recommend the Blau Varadero. But if you feel like going for a bit of extra luxury, the Melia Marina Varadero or the Paradisus Varadero are great choices (more suggestions below).
In addition, the little Cuban town at the entrance of Varadero has some really good night clubs, bars, and restaurants in case you feel like exploring a bit.
At the end of your stay, a transfer arranged by us will take you straight to the Airport where you can do a bit of last minute shopping before heading home.
