Hostal El Madero

Hostal el Madero boasts an excellent location for exploring Old Havana, situated in Santa Clara street and just a very short walk from Plaza Vieja and Plaza San Francisco, two of Havana’s most famous squares. All the main sights of Old Havana are in easy distance on foot.

Lisy and Juan and their small personable team are very welcoming and approachable, and operate their casa like a small boutique hotel. The Casa has a lovely small roof terrace where guests can enjoy an evening drink or coffee during the day. Breakfast is served daily and includes a wonderful fresh fruit platter including banana, papaya, mango and watermelon.

El Madero features 6 rooms in total all clean and stylish with a modern and sophisticated design, with en-suite bathrooms and air conditioning. One Junior Suite room offers enhanced facilities and a larger space.

Overall El Madero is certainly one of our favourite Casas in Old Havana, and highly recommended by our travel design team.
