East Havana Beaches Highlights
To the east of Havana, less than 15 miles away from the capital city, the popular East Havana Beaches invite visitors to enjoy a real Cuban experience. With Playas del Este being the most popular, the Habaneros, people who grew up in Havana, flock to these areas in Summer months and at weekends.
If you want to take a glimpse of the true Cuban spirit, visit these beaches; a buzz with local activity, the miles of white-sand and warm waters will not disappoint. Each beach holds its own individual charm and are popular with international visitors.
One of such beaches is Tarara Tarara, even the name encapsulates the vivacious spirit of the Cubans, as it is named after a trumpet. Whatever beach you decide to visit though, it will no doubt enchant you with its enigmatic and authentic charms.
Connected to the city by the Via Blanca highway, these beaches are easily accessible to Havana so choose to stay beachside at one of the simple but comfortable hotels or casas particulares and head to Havana when it suits, or visit the beach from the city for relaxation, and the feel of warm sand on your toes.
