Arte Hotel Calle 2 is totally unique and a fantastic place to stay if you are interested in the world of art and culture in Havana. The boutique hotel is owned by Laura de la Uz, one of Cuba’s best-known actresses with an extensive, award winning career in film, theatre and TV and Hector a famous photographer from Spain and now resident in Cuba.

The hotel is located in the heart of the downtown Vedado area of central Havana, close to a number of theatres and well-known local entertainment venues as well as the famous Malecon oceanfront promenade.

The hotel is a large very typical Vedado mansion house from the 1920s, completely renovated by the owners to create and elegant and classically Cuban styled boutique hotel, with a number of modern touches and a relaxed atmosphere, especially on the beautiful terrace with five large arches and shaded by two large trees. In the lobby area and lounge there are constant exhibitions of selected local art projects forming a very interesting local feel to the hotel.

All the rooms benefit from a high-quality interior and each are individually designed and named after famous genres and personalities from Cuba’s distinguished world of art and culture. Each room offers all the facilities required by the most discerning guest including full bathrooms and wifi coverage in the rooms.

There is one independent large apartment boasting a large bedroom, living room, balcony with views onto an original Cuban patio area and a kitchen with its own refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine.
